Sunday

Holy Communion    8.00 am

A traditional said service

Parish Communion    9.45 am (except for the 1st Sunday of each month)

This is our main Sunday service with music lead by the organist and a robed choir, entertaining and informative sermons on the gospels and Christian doctrine, and a friendly atmosphere.

There is a Junior Church in the church hall for children from 4 to 11 years old and a creche for the very young (see Children and Youth).

Family Communion  9.45 am    1st Sunday of each month

An informal and lively service for all the family with songs and hymns led by the music group. Soft toys are provided for the very young and, although all ages are encouraged to join in, there is a creche in the church hall.

Choral Evensong    6.30 pm    3rd Sunday of each month (except for December and August)

Celebrated according to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, Choral Evensong has a dignity and beauty that goes hand in hand with English churches and cathedrals. Whether it is heard on a summer's evening or in the depths of winter, this simple service reaches out across the centuries and gives you some of the best food for the soul that you can get, no matter if you are religious or not. The best of traditional anglican choral music is sung by an enhanced choir.

Contemporary Evening Prayer    6.30 pm    1st Sunday of each month

A quiet meditative service based on readings, poems and music.

With effect from September 2010 this service will be (temporarily, we hope) suspended at the participants request until further notice .

Weekday

Morning prayer at 9.00 am except for Wednesdays and Bank Holidays

Wednesday Holy Communion    10.30 am

A said service with an opportunity for coffee and a chat afterwards.

SmALL SAINTS    10.30 am    1st or 2nd Thursday of each month. Check the calendar for details.

A service especially for the needs of younger children, who sing, play musical instuments, listen to stories, say prayers and join in an activity. Coffee, juice and biscuits are served in the church hall  afterwards, giving parents and carers an opportunity to socialise while the children play on a soft mat with toys.
